I cannot believe that it has now been over 25 years since this show first aired.

The Brits are insane and perhaps they need a revolt to fix the problems in their society that lead them to censor Star Trek while tolerating moslems beheading their soldiers on public streets.

I watched the show when it first aired. So I feel qualified to help you and your confusion. YES. YOU ARE GETTING OLD.
If anyone else needs an honest opinion about their age, looks or if they look fat in some dress, I am happy to oblige.

The other day they showed one of the most infuriating episodes. An observation post accidentally reveals Starfleet to people at about the US American Indian level of progress, circa 17th Century. Of course, they take him for a god (after violating the Prime Directive in ways that even outdid Kirk).
Picard spent half the episode lamenting and lecturing about the return to religion and the SAVAGERY that comes along with religion and belief in God. I think he called it a “return to the dark ages.”
It was disgusting and insulting.

A lot of Picard is infuriating.
JMS may be an atheist but I thought Babylon 5 was very fair in the religious aspect given the way TV is. Firefly did ok from what I remember.

Give me fist swinging and phaser blasting Kirk. The phase 2 episodes are pretty good too.
