The Agents of SHIELD midseason finale went big, revealing the Marvel Comics-based identities of both Skye and her father, The Doctor. But that wasnt all, as Skye and Raina made it into the chamber in the mysterious hidden city where a mist would transform them into something Inhuman.
Yes, its true! On the heels of plenty of fan speculation, the Inhumans have made their first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, years before their 2018 movie, via Agents of SHIELD. While they may not have said the words Inhumans or Attilan, any lingering doubts as to what were dealing with are cleared up by executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon in my post-midseason finale chat with the duo, who confirm those are indeed Inhumans and also discuss the reveal that Skye is Daisy Johnson (and her father Marvels Calvin Zabo/Mister Hyde), how they decided Agent Antoine "Trip" Triplett wouldnt survive the episode and more.

Thanks for letting us know youre not going to continue watching a show thats not playing anymore
You really should continue!
Hydra is a common theme throughout the Marvel universe. It is NOT something thought up for this series.
If you stop watching, you won’t see how Coulson eventually takes down Hydra and that fits right in with the beginning of Avengers - Age of Ultron. It’s Coulson who tells Maria Hill where Baron Von Strucker’s castle is that the Avengers attack and then retrieve Loki’s scepter and release the Maximov twins (Scarlet Witch and her brother Quicksilver).
And the Framework, Life Model Decoys (LMDs), Inhumans, Ghost Rider—all are deep dives into Marvel subjects that fill out so much of the overall Marvel universe.
The problem is that they can just make a “friend” that you know into a Hydra operative at any time and suddenly everything they did in all the preceding episodes takes on a different perspective. It’s not how real people operate. When Ward turned out to be Hydra, it ruined the show for me. And not because he’s hydra. Rather, because of how easy the writers could just make any character suddenly someone else at the drop of a hat. I just can’t take that sort of writing seriously.
It also means that any character, at any time, could suddenly be hydra.
Nope. I’m not doing it. I stopped being able to suspend disbelief. But I highly recommend season one to anyone. Great characters, even if they turn out to be someone else in the end. At least I was able to suspend disbelief up to a point.
