Don't forget the paperboy. That used to be a great way for a youngster to get out in the fresh air and make a few dollars. When I was a kid, I'd get up at 5am and deliver about 40 copies of the Boston Herald Traveler. I made about $15 a week, not including tips, which was almost an obscene amount of money for a kid to have back in the day.

Nowadays, my Wall Street Journal is delivered by some unshaven 40-year-old driving a station wagon.
