It’s reasonable to expect a couple hours of homework a night. Kids are usually out of school by around 2:30pm.

My daughter is averaging about 3 hours/night, including week-ends. When I was in high school, in the 70s, I probably put in 3-4 hours my senior YEAR and still CLEP’d out of 46 credits of college.

She also gets off the bus at 4:15.

I’ll add the only useful homework she gets is in Calculus. Most of her home work is working on mandatory senior projects and English class BS assignments.

maybe they should be in school until 5 and make the teachers teach the subjects thoroughly during that time. then let kids play like adults who go to happy hour.
