It's what he does. When Willie Green was here, he posted about trains. Gamecock posts articles that he believes reflect poorly on Catholics or are of interest to Protestants, particularly Calvinist Protestants. NYer posts things that are of interest to Catholics and/or Pro-life themes.
In Swordmaker's case, he has shown he is knowledgeable on what he posts. The variety of posts, memes, and thoughtful vanities is what makes Free Republic a social community unto itself, and not just a conservative message board.
