I think there’s a lot of empathy.
Kids in foster care are treated like lepers socially and in some ways, so are lesbians. It could be that the lesbians understand this and adopted him so he has someone to call family and some place to call a home. It’s not ‘ideal,’ but in life some times we need to take what good we can get out of this very painful world.
There are huge numbers of kids and families who have been devastated by adoption. It’s a nasty industry and totally driven by left wing ideologues who personify the banality of evil.

We live right across the street from a lesbian couple and have for nearly 15 years. We have watched them raise two fine young ladies, both of whom are enrolled in college now.
Both the young ladies date boys their age and are very well behaved. The parents have been nothing but good neighbors to us. I am very pleased to count them among our friends.
Not scientific evidence I know, just my personal experience.

Guess the fact it’s a lesbian couple explains why you don’t hear the usual hue and cry from the Left, regarding whites adopting black kids.
I understand his home is in West Linn, Oregon. West Linn is well away from a ghetto area...middle to upper class. Doubt that there are many minorities that would harass him for his actions.
