Michelle is opening an opportunity for all kinds of additional “funding” by the government here. They’ll probably start up a Department of College Counselors, which will include full time people that we pay to fill out college applications, scholarship applications, etc. Each public high school student will have a four-year guidance counselor with whom they will meet once a week, and which will no doubt include referrals to psychologists and various specialists, free tutoring in preparation for the SAT and ACT, and so on. Each counselor will be limited to 20 students, so they have time to effectively do their jobs. If they just had more money.....

If kids don’t know or care about college, they really have no business going.

No one told me to take the SAT or to plan a college prep high school curriculum. Or to apply.
