A short hold as Coast guard escorted a small boat out of the area. So far the weather looks good.

Watching with a bunch of boarding school boys - or trying to. Only real way to watch it here in Australia is whatever FOX News or CNN shows us and with the hold, we are just getting news I have to keep an eye on in case it somehow goes into areas ‘unsuitable’ for young minds

I love this stuff.
It’s sad that we bailed on our space project dreams :-(
We should have put a man on Mars in the 80’s .. just like Von Braun said we could.
Should have permanent stations orbiting Mars, Luna and one at the Earth/Luna Lagrange point.
Should have small permanent colonies by now on Luna and Mars.

My students think the boat that caused the first delay should have been sunk.

Count me underwhelmed -- here we are, "going back to space" in what is, except for the control systems, essentially 1960s technology.
"Going to Mars!"... I'm compelled to point out that if the U.S. hadn't burned $15 trillion on the 'great society' welfare state over the last fifty years, we'd be on Mars already. And likely beyond.
