Asimov did not invent the notion of a galactic empire. The Star Bores universe is a crazy quilt amalgam of all sorts of borrowings, and some of the stitching is sloppy.

I hate to say this, but the guy who wrote the score to Star Wars also wrote the score to BO's "inauguration." I've never looked at/listened to his music in the same way since. Manipulative? Yes, yes.
