The first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser has finally arrived.
"There has been an awakening have you felt it? The dark side, and the light," says an ominous voice, just before Hans Solo's Falcon soars into view and the franchise's iconic theme song plays.

LOL he’s just lucky he wasn’t wearing a red shirt.
I will make the trip and spend the dough to see this one. I have seen them all and unlike lots of folks here and geeks on the interwebs, I thought they were all terrific. Because I don't expect much except high fantasy, escapism and bad acting. It has always been that way and it's great fun.
I am with you, I have never understood why Jar Jar annoyed people but the Ewoks didn’t. Both were silly in the same way to me.

Yep. Way back in 1977, when my late father and I went and saw the original, he commented that it reminded him of ‘Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe’ and other sci-fi Saturday matinee serials.
And let’s face it.....none of those films could exactly be considered masterpieces of directing, with subtly nuanced dialogue and stunning cinematography. They were fun....and that’s what it’s all about.
So yeah; I’ll be there opening day.
True. The Abrams reboots of Star Trek are pretty crappy aside from advances in FX and cinematography. But to under 40s it must look spectacular.
Maybe because Jar Jar was irredeemable as a concept, while the Ewoks could have worked. The main problem with the Ewoks was the visuals should have suggested there were about 50 times as many of them as there seemed to be in the movie as shot, the whole forest should have been moving, and there should have been mass casualties among them, even as their greater numbers managed to have the same effect in the battle.
No similar adjustment could have produced a fan version of Jar Jar that would have been worth including.
Hans Solo is Han Solo’s German cousin.
Is it racist to talk aboutthe dark side and then show a black man running in the scene?
Damn,I wait with anticipation for he trailer and the first thing I see is a Ferguson looter guy!
It looks ok, but it has a lot to live up to...
I am not sure if the latter storm troopers were supposed to be clones but if they were they should have all looked like Temuera Morrison. If they are still clones in this new episode then this guy is an unauthorized trooper and thus a looter. :)
I beg to differ. The trilogy by Timothy Zahn, “Heir to the Empire,” was fabulous. Too bad that’s not the trilogy they are making. It was riveting.
I guess I can look up “Heir to the Empire”
I don’t think we last until Dec 18, 2015.
It’s tough to beat The Road Warrior. Let’s not talk about Thunderdome OK?
I won’t mention TD if you don’t. Yes, Road Warrior was the first one that I saw, but I really appreciated the low-budget, more-bang-for-the-buck feel of Mad Max.
