You are the simpleton (you and Piers, and I suspect Piers gave you the idea) that is taking an OBVIOUSLY figurative comment literally. You are the one assuming that he couldn’t have felt as he said he felt...can YOU read his mind?

So, you breathlessly believed his every word.

Maybe he lied. Cops have been known to lie, even on the witness stand in a court of law. I know. I've seen it several times. That's why I don't automatically believe everything they say.

Only a simpleton unquestionably believes everything a cop says.

I never said that I believed him or not. I only pointed out his hyperbole. I never assume anything, especially when if comes to what a cop 'says'.

If that makes you get your panties in a bunch, then so be it. We're done.
