Yeah, just ask all the people who said they were voting Romney in 2012 and then got banned, before FR reluctantly came around at the eleventh hour to the realization that not voting Romney was a vote for Obama. It’s not like I WANTED to vote for that milquetoast, but it was sure better than implicitly casting a vote for the Community Organizer in Chief and many of us came to that realization half a year before the “power users” of this site did, and were in the meantime subject to insults and vitriol that could hardly be described as “being treated like a real person.”
If Freepathons are taking longer and longer to wrap up, maybe it’s because some conservatives have been treated very poorly over the last few years and were shown the door or left on their own? Maybe it’s just because FreeRepublic has more competition in the “forum for conservative discussion” market, and people are going elsewhere for conversation. Whatever the reason, the Alexa site rankings - of which we were so proud of ten years ago - seem to show that hits are declining, which should mean the money needed to bring Freepathons to a conclusion also decrease as fewer site resources are consumed.

Of course I voted for Romney over Obama. OF COURSE WE WOULD BE BETTER OFF TODAY if he had won. My monthly health insurance went up by $500 to $2500 a month which I can no longer afford. And if he is more liberal than we want, at least Romney loves this country. Hell, Biden would be better than Obama. I had my priorities straight for THAT DECISION while many FReepers decided that they needed to put themselves and their pride first, before doing the right thing. The right thing was to get obama out.
Hopefully this time we can allow all discussions. And only ban those who get personal and vicious. Anyone wishing to debate their merits should be allowed.
