Exactly the sort of cutting edge thing universities should be doing. Too bad the best and brightest students who work on this sort of thing have to struggle upstream against a flood of downstream swimmers.

You would think they would start by stating the difference between a vitamin and a hormone.

Thank you for the ping. My Dad had the typical attitude toward obesity: If you’re fat, don’t eat. Like most people, he didn’t understand the solution is more complicated than that.
It’s about time science treats obesity as the disease it is. Hope this research goes much further.

Quick Summary:
1. We are at A.
2. A may lead to B.
3. If B is successful it may lead to C.
4. If the clinical trials of C are successful that may lead to D.
5. D will be available sometime in the future. Perhaps.
6. If is is available sometime in the future you won’t be able to afford it.

You would think they would start by stating the difference between a vitamin and a hormone. Or they could start with how to make a hormone.

I heard one weird trick is all that is needed to cure these diseases.
To: Organic Panic
And? Or are you planning on selling this trick on an infomercial for $19.99 plus shipping & handling? ;-)
If you say eat less and exercise more, you are wrong. That may temporarily put diabetes into a sort of remission, but it is never really cured.

Clearly the "fat gene" originated with the Neanderthals. It only took 40-50 millenia to express itself. Dang that epigenetics! /s

Obesity costs America more than my smoking habit. About time we discriminate against them too.

How about everybody pay their own bills?
Aging is the number one cause of most illness. If we just knock off everybody over 65, that will save lots of money. I assume you would not be in favor of that.
