Did not state they deliberately took this. It is probably incidental. If you steal stuff opportunistically you take as much as possible when needing to get away quickly.
The cooler was in a transport taxi...not much else to steal.
Last report says it was a Flask and not a cooler...like all news it isn’t perfect the first time...oy vey!

I don’t know the answer to your question, this is hours old and hasn’t even hit Fox News yet. ABC reported online, Reuters, and Canada Free Press got it from Yahoo News, and that was thread I followed to Mashable.
The expected contaminated blood was going to a lab or something...all details are sketchy still like first reports of breaking news.
Remember that the 550 under quarantine in MALI now are from the IMAM in Guinea, who was being buried and no one had the results of his blood test until after he died.
If these guys go over the border to Mali, there could be a pandemic...if they throw it away any where it could spread in Guinea. WE have over 15-20 Mali airline passengers daily coming to USA...that is why this is important to know, they visit family there and return here or visa versa.

The IMAM from Guinea who died and almost 600 people were quarantied in Mali due to his Muslim funeral, came across the border....don’t know about those exposed yet..still in quarantine.
Now, with that said, MALI is one of the places that America has 15-20 passengers come from there DAILY..so what could go wrong? How close was the robbery from Mali??
This could spark a pandemic if blood is infected and the hospital suspects it is...and the robbers do not treat it as such....who knows?
