To: The Ghost of FReepers Past
He is not a U.S. citizen. I am not clear as to why we are treating him. Is he paying for his own treatment?

He lives in Maryland, so it would seem he is a legal resident. As such, he is probably covered by insurance. He's a surgeon; he can afford insurance.

Please don't tar all immigrants just because our politicians want to bring in so many illegals that they collapse our society. There are still plenty of people who go through the legal requirements to enter the US, and citizenship is not automatic for them even when they have permanent green cards.

I didn’t “tar” an immigrant. He is a citizen of Sierra Leone and I just said he is not a U.S. citizen so why are we treating him and is he paying for the treatment. Fair question I think.

So here is another question. Why is he “living in Maryland” if he is a doctor in Sierra Leone and a citizen of Sierra Leone. I don’t get it. Seems an awful long way to commute.
