He supported Obama....co hosted functions
Gave large cash
Calls whites who oppose Obama racists....like the Klan...literally
He rails and writes OpEds against the GOP as racist and uncaring of minorities
He admonishes slack black culture...a bit....that’s all
He’s a damned libtard chip on shoulder black man whose been accused of sexual assault by over a dozen women since the 80s
And aside from Fat Albert and his voiceovers he ain’t funny
I am too old to have watched The Cosby Show mythic rendition
But I prefer Good Times....or Sanford and Son
I’m just telling you the truth about his views and that he has a long cloud if this crap
His politics is irrelevant to the charges.
Whether he is democrat or not, he is not the typical race baiter. He is well known for a cleaner variety of comedy. I have his comedy performances and he makes fun of people who reward themselves by getting so drunk they spend their weekend glued to a toilet — stuff like that. He is not the typical liberal.
Regardless, the man is innocent until proven guilty. The statute of limitations is important on these sorts of charges because the accused has a right to defend himself and to a presumption of innocence. There is no proving something like this all these years later.
The man was famous and well loved by all and did not need to force or drug women for sex. I’m sure he had plenty of willing partners available to him at all times. To believe these charges is to believe the absolute worst of him It just does not match his known character. The burden is on the accusers to prove and all these many years later that is impossible.
In the 1960s his comedy records were top sellers and some of the funniest stuff out there. I saw him live once in the 1970s. One of the best shows I ever saw. The man was very funny at least to me at the time. I found the Cosby tv show in the 1980s a bit bland but it was a huge ratings hit. Everything else you say is true and I stopped being a fan of his since I learned of all that mostly here on FR If you had told me in the 60s and 70s about his politics it would have gone right over my head at the time. I enjoyed his comedy. The sexual assault stuff sickens and saddens me now and ruins anything from him at this point. I haven’t paid attention to him in quite a while though.
