Immigration status is a key factor in the pro-jections of the remaining number of uninsured people in the seven different areas of California. In three areasLos Angeles, San Francisco, and San Josethe largest group of those remaining uninsured would be undocumented residents. In Los Angeles, almost half of the people still un-insured in 2016 would be undocumented.
