Isn’t this great??? And it turns out Mr. Duncan’s family was just awarded the ‘lotto’ by coming to an undisclosed settlement from the hospital that GAVE $500k in medical care for the liar ebola patient. Obola is a disgrace and a shame on this country. I hate the man as much as is possible for a mere mortal like myself. I know I shouldn’t fill my heart with hate but Obama harvests it.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Weisbrod says the deal is better than what could have been awarded to the family had the case gone to trial. Under Texas law limits, the family could have received up to $500,000 in damages.
The hospital will also setup a charitable fund in memory of Duncan that will provide assistance to victims of Ebola in Africa.
Give me a flipping break!
The hospital had to come to that settlement. Otherwise, they would have been hit up with a huge lawsuit for not recognizing Mr. Duncan’s illness earlier.
BTW, there is no evidence that Mr. Duncan lied. He was, by all accounts, pretty straightforward about his recent travel from Liberia. I feel sorry for the guy... his family had urged him to come back in June. Had he done so, he would still be alive today.
OGovt is awesome. First the narrative was, if you bring your Ebola here we’ll spend half a mil trying to save your sorry a$$ but you’ll die anyhow. Only health care workers get transported to the REAL treatment centers. Now it’s, but if you bring your Ebola here to die, your family cashes in big time! Brang it!! Instant inheritance! Just pop your aspirin, lie your way in, and it’s all gravy, at least for however many family members you have here. Where else can you cash in on your misfortunes like this? America rocks. It’s a world-wide ad to invite more typhoid Thomases and Tammys here. And hey, with Ocare, all that cash is just lyin’ around dyin’ to be spent. The future’s so bright, we gotta wear shades.
