A six-year-old boy died yesterday after he was allegedly beaten up by his class teacher at a private school in India for not speaking in English. It is claimed the teacher at the school in the Tirumalagiri village of Anumula mandal, in Nalgonda district, struck the boy on Saturday for speaking in his tribal language of Telugu. The boy has been named locally as Ramavath Chandu.

Among "Educated" people it is the common language. Without English, your opportunities there are very limited.
That said, this is not about language. This is about an abusive individual teacher being allowed around children.
It is not about 'English.'

The murder of any child for any reason is a tragedy. I suppose, if I could have , I should’ve asked that crazy teacher. Do something about then. The UN says children in Africa are used as soldiers. That’s an issue you should look into.
