Today's feature stars Doris Day in one of her few non-comedic, non-singing roles. In it, Miss Day plays a newlywed American heiress in London terrorized by threatening phone calls. Her leading men are Rex Harrison fresh from his stage run as Professor Henry Higgns in "My Fair Lady" and conservative Republican actor John Gavin whom President Reagan later appointed as U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. One ad called this film "so scary you may never answer the phone again!" Enjoy. And for those who have seen it, please don't reveal the shocking surprise ending for those who've not seen it yet. Wonderful movie- and some wonderful dramatic acting from our national treasure, Doris Day.

I read in one of her autobios that to get herself psyched up for the hysterical crying scene, she relived the time her first husband beat and kicked her in the stomach when she was pregnant with her son, Terry.
She became so hysterical that she had to be given the day off from the set and taken home.

Don’t miss this one- and look for the crying scene. It was the real thing.
