Funny you mentioned that, I hunted off a mule similar to that one in the Hila Wilderness in New Mexico for several years. We would come back to camp in the dark at times on some pretty rough trails and you just give him his head and he brought you back safe and sound. they are amazing animals.

Yep, they can be...mulishly stubborn.
But once they are working they’re remarkable.
