There’s also an Oakland County next to that Bastion of American Progress, Detroit.

The Pontiac brand of GM cars was called the “Oakland” for its first few years, up to about 1927 or 1928.

i got close, anyway.
had a good friend in Ypsi
and
have helped a student get thru UofM Ann Arbor
and
my car comes from Livonia
