“Gone With The Wind”

It truly deserves that accolade too. It’s almost uncanny, esp. the clothes. Some outfits, even though they are barely described in the book are just as one imagined them.

It’s probably the greatest chick flick of all time.

Another one that is really good, and more for men, is “The Leopard” with an international cast including Burt Lancaster in the lead.

Great book, great movie. If you see it in Italian with subtitles, much of the subtitled dialogue is right out of the book. That’s the one I’ve seen most, so I’m not sure about the English language version.

Well the material that was in the movie ‘Gone With the Wind’ was also in the book, but there was a TON of stuff in the book that wasn’t in the movie...it’s always that way, or else the movie would have to be 20 hours long.
