Most people here probably don’t remember that there was a dramatic attempt on the life of Kim Jong-Il:

His train was scheduled to pass through a rail yard and at the scheduled time of his transit the entire rail yard (and the surrounding neighborhood) was exploded with a very, very unusual volume of explosives —the crater was over 15 feet deep.

It destroyed over 10 city blocks.

Yeah. The crater was deep and its slope, steep. The speculation at the time was that it was a powerful new oxidizer for a missile. The remaning structures and debris within the blast area did not show any trace of soot(based on satellite images after the explosion.) It was a powerful explosion with no smoke and flame. It was 2004. Things could have turned out a lot different had Kim gone on that day.
