Yep.
Once, while getting checked out at Walmart, the cashier and I were discussing spanking, in response to a kid’s tantrum a few lines over. The (obvious) homo in line behind me inserted himself into our conversation, telling us he was “sure” we didn’t mean what we said, and somehow linking spanking, which he saw as abuse, to anti-gay “bigotry.”
I was polite, but I told him a few things about his lifestyle, very briefly. As I walked out of the store, he was screaming-—literally shrieking-—at me. The front of the store went quiet and just stared at him.
Next time I was in the store, I felt someone tap my shoulder; it was the cashier. She asked me, “Run into any more psychos lately?”
Short step for them to go from shrieking to violence.

I had an incident one time. I was in a restaurant eating with some friends. We merely mentioned to each other than we all voted for McCain over Obama. A man in the next booth turned around and said he was offended and berated us. I asked why are you bothering us. He said he was gay and went on about how Obama was the better choice and how I should consider the gay issue when voting. I told him I did and told him homosexuality was wrong. He exploded with vulgarities out the wazoo. Our group had already paid so we just left with him continuing to making a scene.
