51% reporting - here's my analysis.
If Hogan wins, it's because of Dixiecrats in MD. The African American community will not forget, and may NOT turn out in numbers for white Democrats in future elections - you heard it hear first ...
omg, wow...that would be like Midway.
A nice, big carrier smoking and then blub, blub, blub, down into the inky depths.
Sooo happy the Obamas came out for him so visibly!!!
Do not understand your final statement. I expected blacks to turn out in droves just like for Uhbama. Brown is just like him.
So what was the comment about white Dems for?
Bongino UP
50.1%
47.9%
With 57% reporting...would be GREAT PICKUP!!!
It was on Fox site, at 37% in last I saw about 10 min ago.
Still need to feel better at more than 50% reporting, though.
well, that’s some impressive “win” for Mark Warner, eh?
The black vote did turn out for Brown, and Democrats outnumber Republicans 2:1 in MD. So the ONLY way Hogan can win is with White Democrats - there are not enough Republicans in MD for Hogan to win.
No Frickin’ Way !!! Go Bonginio !!!!
So why would blacks “remember” and not vote for a white Dem? I do not get that.
Anyway, if blacks turn out as they did for Uhbama, Brown should win. Only hope is for white oibs not to turn out. Repubs are strong outside central.
Blacks complain about this all the time. Blacks helped O'Mally win the Governership by coming out for him. They expected whites to come out for Brown (a black) in this election cycle.
Believe me, they feel jilted because whites aren't turning out for Brown.
I’d like to see the total turnout numbers after the election is over compared with previous years... my precinct was fairly empty today. My kids voted in the evening... I voted earlier in the day. The usual cast of dem tables promoting their candidates were no where to be seen.. yet there was a Hogan for Gov table. I live in reliably blue Montgomery County... Brown the dem was responsible for the maryland state obamacare website... which was a huge disaster. There was no excitement for him as governor. Still... it’s would be a huge upset if Hogan pulls out a decisive win.
I am pretty much a MDer, through and through. ;-)
I’ve lived in and out of MoCo my whole life ... I go away a few years and come back ... hope to leave for good someday ..
69% in, Brown 579,328 ~ Hogan 687,047 45%/53%
Unless ballot box stuffing is prevalent, Hogan has it. Know many Blacks are somewhat miffed about our famous “Rain Tax”.
The big thing is, has Baltimore reported and how much of it?
They may have jilted themselves.
Baltimore City 133-26 (82%) O’Malley
Thus far 96-28 (Hogan only slightly ahead of Ehrlich; Brown well behind O’Malley).
Prince George’s 203-26 (88%) O’Malley
150-26 Brown...yes, that could be white vote staying home - although I’d be surprised if Balto City weren’t black votes staying home.
Howard 58-47 (54%) O’Malley; 46-51 Hogan - Dem votes down slightly with a few Rep crossovers.
Carroll 45-17 (71%) Ehrlich; 51-10 Hogan - almost all crossovers there.
Harford 61-31 Ehrlich; 68-19 Hogan - mostly crossovers a few Dems stayed home.
I am enjoying seeing the glum faces on the grifters standing there waiting for brown to concede as WBAL issues apologia for brown not “ identifying” himself
