“My full name is Colin Sumner Worden and I grew up in Pittsford, New York - a town located in the suburbs of Rochester.

I’m currently a member of the Class of 2015 at Case Western Reserve University. I’m double majoring in Economics and Philosophy, in addition to being actively involved with campus organizations (I’m President of both my class and our campus’ Philosophy Society). The academic standards and my extracurricular involvement at Case have both been essential in developing my maturity and responsibility, which I will always grateful for.

I developed a keen interest in politics shortly after arriving at Case, and eventually I needed an outlet for my interest so I took to writing. My first blog - simple-politiks.com (I stopped paying for hosting so it’s shut down) - was created during the summer before my sophomore year at Case. At the time I knew almost nothing about politics so it was more of a learning experience than anything else. I would write posts and to my surprise people would actually write comments on them. I’d discuss/debate the various topics and thankfully I learned a great deal from those conversations.

Now, about a year and a half later, I’d like to take the next step and really ramp up my political commentary. I’ve created a YouTube channel entitled “The Virtual Politician” as well as a separate blog to accompany it. My goal is to encourage people of all ages to seriously think about and discuss the political issues of our time, because I believe very few things are more important in shaping our future.
