I am not entirely sure why the simple credential test is so difficult for science deniers to get. This man, while he has had a carrier in televised weather reporting, is not exactly... well, not even close to a serious scientist.

I have no reason to disparage his on-air talent, or even deny his abilities as a meteorologist or forecaster. His degree is in journalism and he has done very well in that field. Over the lifetime working as a journalists in the field of meteorology he is sure to have learned a great deal about the weather. That, however, has almost nothing to do with the science behind global warming and little to do with the impact - climate change.

Over and over I see complaints from the denial community that somehow real counter science is dismissed. I keep questioning why the difference between the actual work (and it is real work) of climate scientists is met with conjecture in the form of simple dental and consumed as equally credible. These simply are not the same thing.
