Yes, but would the response be equal had it been a non-badge. Or would they have blown it off as trivial? I think you know the answer to that.

Perhaps it because I’m female and not US-born. I have vivid memories of how it feels to be groped in broad daylight. I would never think to touch anybody’s anything. And if a moron thinks it’s ok to do something like this (1. appropriate someone’s person, 2. wet the fingers with a bodily fluid to increase the level of discomfort, 3. quasi-penetrate an orifice), I would hope law enforcement wouldn’t blow it off as ‘trivial’. It’s NOT trivial to me, hence the opprobrium.
