Should I switch to DirectTV?

Nope! How about NOT paying for TV? Dumped DirecTV three plus years ago, best decision we ever made.

Our TV consists of a $15 home made HDTV Antenna (made using coat hangers, some wire, and following a Video on YouTube) to pull in some 62 HDTV stations in the Chicago area, a Roku device and a NetFlix account for $8.

DirecTV was trying to charge me $100 for their "entry level" package, that's when I picked up the phone and told 'em to get their shit outta my house.

Tell Pay-TV to go to hell. You'll be amazed how much more FREE TIME you have for other, more important things like family, hobbies, recreation time, and oh yeah -- have some extra money in your pocket too!

sounds like you made a good decision but who do you use for your internet provider? as I am under the impression you need an internet connection to use Roku. Internet can be very expensive too. :(
