I recommend standard whirlpool top loader washer and front load dryer. (Buy the simplest electronics free units available in the size you need)

Be aware that front load washers, all the style rage SMELL. They have a gasket sealed door and unless you leave them open any water remaining (you can’t see it it will pool by the pump) may start growth. The non sealed top loader allows the moisture to evaporate.

I bought my first whirlpool washer dryer set in 1981they lasted well over 20 years. Then I bought identical style replacement and they have been used almost Daily with little repairs needed.

If you really wAnt to save money from energy, buy the gas dryer as I did (if you have natural or propane gas. )

My mother has a front loader and leaves the door open when not in use. Never has any mildew.
