The BBC is adapting John le Carre's novel The Night Manager for a new six-part series.
The book, published in 1993, is about a former British soldier who ends up going undercover as part of a sting against a black market weapons dealer.
Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston are set to star, according to the Hollywood Reporter, but the BBC said that was just speculation.
US networks are also looking to pick up the series, the magazine reported.

Kewl. Worst British writer ever.
No Way! His books are great. You probably have difficulty with his style which departs from the norm especially on how he starts out -—— no real introduction or lead in to the characters or plot. I have read all his books to date.
I disagree, an excellent writer..
Fantastic! This is my favorite Le Carre novel!
I’ve never made it through one of his novels, but I haven’t tried lately.
IIRC that was a good book
His protagonists all seem to be so weary, unprincipled...believers in nobody or nothing.

I respectfully disagree. I find most of his writing boring, and politically tendentious. I think the worst book he wrote was the TAILOR OF PANAMA, which had nothing to do with the real world, what was going in Panama, or what was to become of Panama. He spread the mindless idea of moral equivalence between the West and Soviets during the Cold War.
