Open to guests...a simple Yes or No Poll...
Doubtful, even if they do they are absolute duplicates of the democrat majority in place now. Unless the leadership changes along with the majority, everything will remain the same.
I hate to sound like a negative Nancy but the republican leadership has shown me nothing to be excited about or even encouraged for.
I expect they will, just because things are so dark and dismal right now, with all these Obama-inflicted nightmares. That will probably be enough to propel the GOP over the edge. Yet, locally, I don’t at all see anything like the enthusiasm that was present in 2010 following all the tea-party activity. There’s no fervor, no ring of optimism. Everybody just seems beat down. I don’t think ANYONE has any expectations that the GOP, if they win, will necessarily turn anything around.
It’s the bleakest I’ve ever seen things, with a real undercurrent of disquiet and unease. This is far different, far worse, and far more unsettling than what I recall of the latter Carter years.
At the end of the Carter years, we had Reagan to look forward to. There was real confidence that he would lead the country back onto the right track.
The difference now is that there is no confidence in the Republican party's ability (or even desire) to lead.
I have studied Real Clear politics and it looks bad. I can get a Mmximum of 50 and that means we lose. Too many rinos. To many will not vote because they hate rinos. Also parasites now out number productive educated when you fold in the government “make work” parasites. I am not optimistic. Very crushing to think they win again. I pray I’m wrong.
More likely than not, Republicans will win the Senate. Of course, that could change in an instant.
States to look at are Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Iowa and North Carolina. If the Pubbies prevail in six of nine, the Senate should be theirs.
Right now, the good guys are ahead in seven.
Sure they will, maybe...
Yes
OK I think some of you are missing a point here.
Without the 60 vote rule, Obama nominates a Supreme Court Justice, all the Democrats move it to a vote along with a few wishy washy Republicans.
The 60 vote rule would allow let’s say 45 republicans to block the nomination.
IOW because we have a Democrat president it can’t hurt to have the 60 vote requirement.
I think some of you are fatally naive.
my prediction,
a pickup of 8.5 seats
North Carolina is a tossup, could go either way
Yes. As I expected, hardly anyone has given a simple yes or no answer...why miss an opportunity to whine and complain?
I guess you don’t understand the example, or the fact Republicans will not have any nominees for at least 2 years.
If a Republican-controlled Senate acts anything like the House, I think it will matter as a positive.
...
I hope you’re right. At least we don’t have a Bush in the White House this time. There could be some good old fashioned gridlock, which is usually the best we can expect from the crooks in DC.
A vain exercise I’m afraid, my friend....only God knows - and as they say - He ain’t tellin’........
Isn’t it sad. They will agree to change the rules back. They won’t repeal Obama care. They won’t close the border. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t make Reid co-majority leader with McConnell. The GOP is a bunch of bumbling old men afraid of the dark. Still, they’re slightly better than the criminals we have now.
Yes, pick up +7 - +9
Iowa Market has D lose Senate 90%.
No. GOPe is too addicted to Democrats’ approval.
Banging down the phone on the latest RNC demandingmoneyfest, I spend my pledge on ammo instead.
Hang on, folks. Interesting times ahead in the Chinese sense.
Fraud will prevail and obammy is a fraud.
