Obama has promised us that electric rates will skyrocket because of his war on coal.
Well here’s more good news for the environment:

Obama’s new rules will close down 7 times as many coal plants than previously thought!
Those pesky seniors...
I am one of them.
Just wait till the EPA cuts off the electricity by shutting down the coal fired generators. Grandma will be freezing in the dark, but in some swanky high-rise, a Sierra Club member will be cozy and feeling smug about saving the earth.
I can handle when he's lying, which is almost always. It's when he tells the truth we should be worried!
I know a couple around 66 on SS and they can’t make it. The man was a mechanic and had his hand mangled and the wife has a lot of health problems. They are moving in an 80 yr old who is on her own and needs help and they think they can make it with her paying rent and a third of the bills and they can take care of her.
I’m 82 years old——and VERY lucky as far as finances go.
Things are tough enough at my age-—I can’t imagine not being able to afford medical care, food,or fuel.
I pray for them.

0 in 3 Senators Went Without Medical Care Due to High Energy Prices
If these were the Bush years, it would be all over the news that seniors have to choose between medical care and heating their home.
“the price of energy will necessarily skyrocket.”
Well, I’ve gone without dental care because of the HIGH COST of dental care.
Reflecting when we were on dial up for the internet, and wishing it was as fast as the rise of our electric bill.
frankly being a senior now and married to one, its the young people that have it far, far worse than the elderly.....and young people don't have that "fixed" income that will never go away.....some young workers just wish their incomes were fixed so they could have some security...
besides....we're no poor...but we don't run to the dr for every little thing....my hubby hasn't been to the doc for probably 3 yrs now....he doesn't feel the need and he is on no meds.
