Don’t mean to insult, I can see y’all are having fun in here, but is there a way to make this thread not appear in the regular stream of ‘Latest Comments’?

No, there isn’t. “Latest” comments shows everything, including our socialization.

Lest you feel ignored, I personally don’t know, but I’m sure Jim or John Robinson could answer your query.
And as an aside, welcome to the Undead Thread! We appropriated it, and when we are done with it and are able to find another still-warm corpse to inhabit, we will discard it.
In the meantime, feel free to join us. No religion or politics are to argued, but may be discussed. Anything else is fair game.

Not certain.
There is a way to not see certain forum sections.
That is under preferences/ settings.

The Undead Thread is an unusual aspect of Free Republic. It is a harbor for those odd bits of flotsam that would otherwise be strewn across a trackless ocean, like some wayward airliner bound for the Twilight Zone.
I like to think it is not purposeless, that it provides a kind of continuity and bond that gives meaning to a rather hectic and error-prove form of communication.
We cannot draft you into membership, but judging by what appears to be your interest, let me say that this too, is the Undead Thread.
