Microsoft made a good move here, but need to make it free for every Microsoft User like Apple and Amazon do and not just the 16 million Windows 8 users. Well as long as your hardware can run it.

Sorry but there are not individuals who own Windows 8 products and only one company which owns Windows 8 products and that company is Microsoft. The rest of us are licensees, not owners.

Please, please, please, please, please, please buy a system with Windows 8 on it instead of holding on to Windows 7 for the next decade. We'll let you have Windows ~~8.2~~ 9 for free.
