I wasn’t simply griping. I was informing you that your single-user, parochial viewpoint is woefully limited in its scope. Similarly, you just came back and essentially told me that my analysis was garbage because it didn’t fit your happy-go-lucky acceptance of wasted time and effort to undo something that shouldn’t have been done.
I’m glad you enjoy Windows 8 and/or 8.1. I find neither acceptable for a host of reasons. And I spent some of my valuable time to try and educate you on some of those reasons. Sorry I wasted my time, as you are obviously irrationally exuberant about the tile interface.

That article someone linked said that there will still be a charms thing but it won’t do anything in desktops, only for touch screens.
Weird. One of the most annoying things possible is having icons and stuff on your desktop that don’t do anything.
I don’t use Windows 8 or 8.1. If you had read the thread you would read that I use Windows 7. As I posted previously I am not a big Windows fan but Windows 7 works for me and I have no reason to change.
I came here to read about Windows 9 and instead see a bunch of crybabies b*tch about the classic start menu lacking and then I find it’s fixable in less than a minute for free.
Your long diatribe about how fixing the start menu on Windows 8 or 8.1 took so much time and energy was blatant rubbish in the face of reality of a simple free fix that takes less than a minute. It added nothing to the discussion about Windows 9 which was supposed to have been the subject of this thread.
I see a small cabal of idiotic anti-Microsoft posters on blogs and forums throughout the internet. They are either paid to slander Microsoft or they are idiots. Did you post long rants about Apple? No! You took so so much time to crybaby us about how oh so much time and energy and expense it took oh the horror for you to deal with Windows start menu and then I showed it takes less than a minute for free to fix. Poor Crybaby!
Now if you have any worthwhile comments about what Windows 9 might bring to the future, I am willing to read them.
