I’m having a hard time believing this story. The only people who might want to attend a concert....are folks in their mid-50’s, who remember this guy’s tunes. He hasn’t sold a hit in thirty years. If I were him and going to the US...I’m limit myself to strictly to the DC region and NY City, and hope that I could get maybe ten thousand tickets sold entirely.
There are at least two generations of young Americans who have absolutely no idea who this guy is. And those who do know him, like me, didn’t really give a crap about his music anyway. It basically sucked. And since he joined the head choppers union , f him. You know damn well he is still a worthless Saracen bastard because you can’t quit the head choppers union or you’ll lose your own head.
He was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (the irony) and the ceremony was on AXS recently, so that may have boosted his popularity. As part of his acceptance speech, he said he was surprised to receive the award because “he doesn’t drink, smoke and only sleeps with his wife.”
Oh, I would definitely tour in Vermont if I were him. And Southern Florida. And Colorado and Washington.
Hey I resemble that remark. Just about fell over when I heard he went full muzzie.
A lot us people in our 50’s still enjoy his music and are mature enough to respect his right to practice his religion. The NY venue insists on paper tickets which makes scalping too easy. If the prices are too high there must be a lot of us old parts who want to see him.
