I have always thought I was pretty dumb (because my math skills are poor).
Does this mean I am really smart, (except for math of course)?
No I did not read the article. :)
Funny thing about intelligence, there are many different kinds of intelligence. This study was about particular types. It is possible that 90% of people truly are above average in SOME sort of intelligence. What are you good at? Are you smart enough to compensate for not having perfect math skills?
PLUS if you don’t use it you lose it. I was very good in algebra but not geometry. Lost it all over the decades except for accounting. Business math, good. Engineering, bad. Not creative, either. I can replicate and am mechanically inclined but not an ounce of creativity.
There are only three kinds of people in the world, those who know math and those who don't.
