Please provide evidence that EV-D68 is any more prevalent in Central America than anywhere else. Hint: It is rare everywhere, was first identified in the U.S. in about 1962, similar viruses usually strike during summer like this one, and the evidence I asked for doesn't exist.

As you said, this has been around since 1962. Many were probably infected then but just chalked it up to having a cold. People were more infection resistant.
I think there are lots of diseases being brought over the border but this probably isn’t one of them. It is hype by the media to scare people.

There clearly is circumstantial evidence. IE: The timing of this outbreak. Circumstantial is the best you are ever going to get.
Of course you can stick your head in the sand...
And it's popping up all over.
Please provide stats to explain this outbreak is NOT an anomaly and is not related to the invasion/infestation of south American vermin.
