All I know is this: we allowed a foreign power to permanently rearrange the skyline of our most important city. A skyline that is instantly recognizable, all over the world.

The NYC skyline is as much a symbol as our flag.

And we let a bunch of terrorists remove two stars, forever.

On the desktop of all my computers is my favorite image of me standing on Ellis Island with the Twin Towers behind me.

I get one of two responses whenever anyone sees it:

“Wow, you were in incredible shape in that picture”.

“Amazing! !! I’ll bet there are very few people with a picture of the towers behind them!”
