James Bond was supposed to be a human spy- not Superman.
OK...Let Bond die. End the franchise. I would be cool with that.

Seriously I hear ya. It’s understandable to want a movie series to follow the books. No problem with that.
Bond doesn’t have to die, and I realize that the movies must deviate a little from the books- that’s understandable since the USSR is no more and the novel James Bond is from the 50s and 60s eras- but James Bond went from spy thriller to superhero fantasy.
It’s the same with the Bourne novels- they have nothing in common with the movies.
