Comedian and author of The KinderGarden Eden: How the Modern Liberal Thinks, Evan Sayet, explains how the September 11th attacks rocked his worldview.
Not only did the horrific plane bombings of the World Trade Centers shape his perception of Americas role in the world, it also informed his opinion of once-fellow liberals like himself.

IIRC I’ve heard Dennis Miller say that 9/11 caused *him* to do a serious rethink too.
Quotes By Barack Hussian Obama About Islam
The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam
The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer
Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.
Islam has always been part of America I made clear that America is not and never will be at war with Islam.
Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism it is an important part of promoting peace. So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed
I look forward to hosting an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan here at the White House later this week, and wish you a blessed month.
Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation
We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction," Barack Hussian Obama
A close friend told me that she changed from a real left-wing liberal to a pretty much down-the-line conservative as a result of 9-11. It didn’t happen all at once, but the events of that day started her down the path.
She was as left wing as they come, a real hippy back in the day.
What it did for me (and for her I’m sure) is to get her to start thinking about Islam....and I have an expression, “the first time you think is the last time you’re a Democrat.”
OMG.....those quotes make my skin crawl! And the picture of the cross soothes my soul.
On this thirteenth anniversary of that terrible day, please keep us safe and bless all those innocent Americans who lost their lives on that day. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of Your Son that they may share in the joy of Your heavenly kingdom forever.
NEVER FORGET
Click here for the fantastic, moving website memorial created by a survivor of 9/11, Steve Golding of New York City. It is the most viewed of all 9/11 memorials. It is now in the Smithsonian Museum. Music by Enya.
Or Try this one
There are many sites that carry this most famous of the 9/11 memorials, the Steve Golding memorial. After so many years some do not work. If neither site works, look up 'America attacked 9/11." It is well worth your time. It should be required viewing for every American. Be prepared for a good cry.
The second site carries a 'message' and a description of 'that day' in his own words from the creator of the website, Steve Golding, and reference to the Pentagon attack. Be sure to see them. Very powerful.
Steve, may God rest his soul, has since died from respiratory disease sustained on 9/11. God bless you, Steve- and thank you for leaving us this wonderful and moving memorial to the heroes of 9/11.

And read Steve's account in his own words of 'That Day' here
