For some reason when I saw this headline I immediately thought of something that I had read.It was about a guy who was formally retiring from FDNY on that very day.9/11/2001.He was at City Hall or FDNY Headquarters (can’t recall which) filling out paper work to make his retirement official and final.Word came in to that office of what was happening and he dropped everything and went down there to help.He died that day.Can’t recall his name.
