Rice admitted to punching her. He claimed she was trying to hit him. In my mind, nothing changed with the release of this video. Whether she was trying to hit him or not is no excuse to knock her unconscious and then drag her out of the elevator like a sack of garbage. Very poor reflection on the team and the league.
If you see the whole video, it looks like he took a swat at her first when they are close, then he backed away, she is stunned and grabbed her nose, then she came at him and he hit her a second time to knock her out.
This new video looked like she was advancing on Ray Rice and was going to hit him. He beat her to it by knocking her out cold when she got in punching range. Rice did mot move his feet. He did not move in on her and punch. She came towards him
I agree completely. There is no excuse for punching a woman, especially for a guy who does strength training on a daily basis and could have punched her through a wall if he hit hard enough.
