Darn right. Florida lightening storms can come up very fast. Sunny at your home 8 miles down the road a downpour with big bolts coming down everywhere! Ask a sailor! Our storms come from the northwest—and are proceeded by a calm. When I get back to home base, I'm amazed at the speeding Cigarette boats that didn't hear the thunder. OTOH, lightning struck a small tree about 20-feet from me. The storm had passed 20 minutes earlier!
