“Ive been a pediatric nurse for 35yrs +”
Wow. That takes a lot of commitment! I imagine you have a lot of stories to tell.
Have you ever wondered if the young adults passing you in the store might have once been your little patients?
It has been a fun,sad and a hard 35yrs.
I have seen some wonderful kids die from,CF,various forms of Leukemia and other cancers,drownings,asthma you name it.
I was surprised to find out one child who I thought for sure had died from liver cancer was now an adult and doing well.Many you loose track of over the years
I have now been seeing the children of former pt’s and it is wild to say I took care of your father when he was 3 yrs old and boy was he a pistol!
Some are in jail and some have died in the violent neighborhoods they call home.
And thank you for asking me.You made me think back on those early days.
