Nah. The universal assessment was that Sam was a good football player, but not good enough to crack the Rams lineup.
The NFL is about one thing. Winning. Win and you stay. Lose and you’re gone. If the Rams (or any other NFL team) thought that Sam would help them win, then he’d be on a roster.
Some liberal columnist who knows little about football may stamp his feet in a huff, but the vast majority know exactly what this is about and will move on.
