I think there was a time in which the left owned the blues but things have come full circle to a point in which we own the blues.
The Blues will never go away and conservatives need to push this into our culture. IMHO
The "Blues" cuts to the core of virtually everything that matters.
I will put forth my modern and somewhat obscure samples, as I hope to see yours.

WOW
I’m 1:30 into it and it is a keeper !!!!!!!!!
Awesome
I have a couple pair of 501 Blues.
Paid cash, so I guess I own em outright...
La Grange= Waiting for the bus (lo siento)
That’s some awesome blues!!
I grew up with this freak.
Root Boy Slim
The last Blues song I wrote was
“Stuck here at Walmart”
in Salida, Colorado. It was a big hit with my wife and daughter.
Not a “Blue Bus” ?
The last Blues song I wrote was
What was the first blues song you wrote ?
So here is the song I wrote. My Blues Nomme de Guerre at the time was
“Smoky Cottonmouth Nixon”
“Stuck Here at Walmart”
by Smokey Cottonmouth Nixon
“Well I Woke up this morning,
beside the Gunnison highway,
Saw ‘nother man just sittin there,
He didn’t have nothin to say.
Yes I woke up this mornin
On the the Gunnison highway.
The bearded bum sittin in the rain,
He had nothin to say.
The cardboard sign he was holdin’
Told the whole world what was goin down
Said “Stuck here at Walmart”
People just drove right around.
He was watchin the poor grouchy woman
Wearin the blue overalls dress
Cram her groceries into that old Chevy van
Man, she was makin a mess.
So we drank nasty black coffee
Beside the Walmart parking lot
Next to Gunnison Highway
I told him what I done.
Well the woman’s baby was hollerin
Over in Pharmacy,
A wailin and crying
For her mama to see.
Her baby daddy shot a man in Memphis
And truly killin he did need
So that po’ mama ran South to Salida
She has that baby to feed.
That baby daddy in Memphis
He knew he was fixin to die
When he told that po grouchy woman
The blue overalls dress made her butt look big.
Blue Overalls Dress woman told her foolish man
You will never see the electric chair
Then she told me “shoot him bubba”
Baby daddy died right there.
So we ran south to Colorado
On the Rocky Mountain Highway
Thing is them blue overalls dress
Made her butt look fat in a big way.
When I told her that at Walmart
She kicked me out of that Chevy van
Now I am stuck at Walmart
Just like that other Salida man.”
The first on the album. Really strutting rock, like .38 Special. I wore that album out on cassette.
Well actually the last blues song I wrote was the first blues song I wrote. But still, I wrote one, and I shot a man in Memphis, and all, and it had an impossible situation to get out of, and my baby done me wrong, and it had a fat woman in it, and all the essential items, unrequited love, a life on the lam, its was blue blue blue. Still is. I have a lot more blues in me.

Made her butt look fat in a big way.
That is Fricking awesome !!!
Clear Case - thats pretty good
Maybe I should get it recorded. I know some pros here in Houston who know the studio folks, down at Sugarhill. My son in law is a professional. And I can play guitar - have a nice 59 remake Gibson ES 335 - blues classic. I play ok but no specialist. Sion in law is an ace and records all the time. I can get Outlaw dave to give me a promo and shout out. I can get it on i-tunes!
“Slave”
Do it, do it, do it, do it
Don’t wanna be your slave
Twenty four hours a day
Hey, why don’t you go down to the supermarket
Get something to eat, steal something of the shelves
Pass by the liquor store
Be back about quarter to twelve
Don’t want to be your slave
Baby go, baby go, baby go
Do it yeah
