The IT Crowd.
EQ spent some money to do a nice production and the only other one I can think of that did as well or better was the A&E Nero Wolfe.
A Family Friend who does CGI worked on Firefly.
The scene with the Fleet coming out of the Cosmic Cloud near the end of the Movie took him and others on the CGI team months to button up.
I think the entire shot lasted seven seconds in the Movie.
Oops, make that the Movie “Serenity”.
I’d with Firefly & Jericho. I’d add:
1. Battlestar Galactica (reboot)
2. Flash Forward
3. Friends- it never got old
4. Oh Madeline! (1980s)
5. Revolution
Highway Patrol (Brodrick Crawford)
Golf with Bobby Jones
It’s one of the most amazing scenes in Sci-fi and my favorite from the movie. Classic cavalry coming over the hill shot.
Journeyman? thought for sure it was Nowhere Man!!
Oh well!!!OOps for me!!!
I don’t have strong memories of Nowhere Man. The plot of Journeyman was a variation of Quantum Leap: a guy who jumps through time and needs to “fix” things before he gets to jump again. Except in Journeyman the jumping starts spontaneously and mysteriously, and the end result of “fixing” something is that the guy time jumps home.
Very underrated show that died way too early. The episode where the guy jumps from a circa-2007 airliner onto a 1970s one (everyone up and out of their seats talking, socializing, drinking and smoking, kids chasing eachother around wit cap pistols) was really good as well.
